Reccomended Read: Sold by Patricia McCormick

While there are many great books out that chronicle the crisis of modern day slavery, the book Sold by Patricia McCormick was recommended to the iEmpathize team as an important and enlightening read.  The book tells the story of a 13-year-old Nepalese girl, Lakshmi, and narrates her life before and after being tricked into working at a brothel.
